• BRW OPENS NEW SAN FRANCISCO STUDIO

Brown Reynolds Watford Architects is pleased to announce the opening of their newest studio in San Francisco, CA.  In addition to locations in Dallas, College Station, and Houston, the West Coast location further expands BRW’s architectural reach.

• CHRIS FORD AIA, NAMED NEW PRINCIPAL

BRW welcomes the addition of Chris Ford AIA, as Principal and Studio Director for the San Francisco location.  Chris brings his 30 years of experience and 12 years as the Principal of C3DA in merging his operation into BRW Architects.

• DALLAS FIRE STATION 33 AWARDED LEED SILVER

Dallas’s Fire Station No. 33 was recently awarded with LEED Silver Certification by the US Green Building Council.  The station, located in a South Central Oak Cliff neighborhood, achieved LEED Silver certification by maximizing natural daylight and views while minimizing heat gain.  The design also called for the use of recycled materials and energy efficient mechanical systems.

• TTI AT TEXAS A&M AWARDED LEED GOLD

The Texas Transportation Institute State Headquarters and Research Building on the Texas A&M campus was recently awarded with LEED Gold Certification by the US Green Building Council.  The three story building includes over 140 individual offices for researchers and system administrators, in addition to common conference room and support spaces, and a state-of-the art Visibility Research Laboratory.  

• BRW FIRE STATIONS OPEN

Three new BRW fire stations have recently opened.  These include Kyle Fire Station No. 1, Fort Bend Fire Station No. 1, and Dallas Fire Station No. 10.

• TRAPS AWARD FOR THE TRAC

BRW has recently received the Texas Recreation and Parks Society 2010 Facility Award for the Trinity River Audubon Center.

• BRW FIRM WIDE ADVANCE

Winfrey Point on White Rock Lake in Dallas was the setting for BRW’s annual Firm Wide Advance.  The two day event is a chance for all BRW offices to meet to discuss the current state of the firm as well as to plan for the future growth of the company.  This year, BRW announced the opening of their newest studio in San Francisco, California.  Additionally 10 year and 20 year team members were honored.

• CRAIG REYNOLDS, FAIA JOINS TASK FORCE

TEXO, the DFW construction trade association and CEFPI, the Council of Educational Planners International, has recently formed a joint task force to "identify and address issues affecting regional K-12 school construction".  BRW founding principal, Craig Reynolds, FAIA was invited to participate and join in the initiation of the Task Force.  The CEFPI/TEXO Task Force will identify critical K-12 planning and construction issues, and develop/publish data on best practices to assist school districts in their continuing and future bond programs.
