The setting for the Throckmorton Ridge Fire Station provided unique challenges and opportunities, as well as the inspiration to pursue a LEED Gold rating.  A silver rating has been acheived, though BRW continues to work toward Gold.  Located on beautiful Mount Tamalpais in Marin County, this 5,400 square foot facility replaces the outdated single engine company fire station.  The new station features three apparatus bays, office space, three bedrooms, and a dayroom designed for training meetings.  This project aims to be one of the first LEED Gold rated fire stations in the country.
