The renovation and expansion of Dallas Fire Station No. 10 includes a 6,000 SF addition and a complete interior renovation of the existing building.  The total 12,000 SF station will have two and a half apparatus bays and will be able to accommodate 14 fire fighters per shift, plus associated officers.  The design and construction process adheres to the USGBC LEED certification system requirements, and the project is anticipated to be LEED Gold certified.  This building and site design approach will serve as an example for the community by educating and inspiring citizens to lead a more environmentally conscious lifestyle.
