| Dallas, Texas
Details [+]

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, in a nationwide directive to upgrade security of federal facilities, favored a plan to increase perimeter lighting and upgrade surveillance cameras. The challenge was integrating new lighting and cumbersome cameras into the building's award-winning architecture while meeting the photometric requirements of the security camera's "vision." In addition, mounting the 14 new cameras mostly on the limestone facade required careful placement and impeccable craftsmanship. The synthesis of lighting design and surveillance technology in this architecturally-significant building bore creative, sensitive solutions providing illumination for surveillance, while enhancing the architecture.
