The City of Calistoga Fire Department consists of a combination of volunteer and paid firefighters. In addition to the life safety and operational improvements, BRW added office space, public restroom facilities, a display space, and living quarters. This entailed an addition of 2,000 square feet to the existing 6,000 square foot facility.

The display space for the historic rig is in the front of the newly renovated station creating an iconic image for the station and the neighborhood. On a busy street in the middle of town, this station is centrally located for the community.
