The Prince of Peace Catholic Community Pre-School building is situated to establish a new facade toward the main vehicular approach and to define the courtyard connecting the new addition to the existing school. Self-contained classrooms and administrative spaces are organized around an interior courtyard, to allow for impromptu gatherings and indoor activities. This centralized interior court is imbued with natural light from the clerestory above. The spatial activities of the building are expressed volumetrically through the exterior massing, fenestration and the effect of sunlight passing through the windows.
