The City of Lewisville's new Fire Station No. 7 is designed to decrease fire response time and convey a sense of pride within the community. The station's design is inspired by historic aspects of fire stations from the early 1900's in form, detailing, and materials. Traditional elements, such as a tower and vertical facades, are incorporated with the same vocabulary as turn of the century firehouses in an effort to recall the pride of earlier station. With its high visibility and emphasis on traditional architecture, the station will serve as a symbol of how fire stations both protect and connect the community.
