To maintain fire protection in a city with accelerated growth, the facility is designed to meet the needs of today's firefighters, as well as anticipate the needs of the future. The building is designed to reflect the prominent Texas Hill Country vernacular with limestone and cedar stained siding prominent in many of the adjoining homes. It also acts as a symbolic gateway into the subdivision, enhancing the fire department's visibility as a civic landmark.
