University of North Texas Track & Field Complex

As a part of UNT’s athletic master plan, the state-of-the-art stadium is home to the Mean Green soccer and Track & Field teams, and provides opportunities to host Conference USA championships and other events. Built on a 25 acre site, the new 8-lane track is designed to meet NCAA standards and includes south end d-zone for high jump and designated area along the west side of the oval for long jump, triple jump, and pole vault. Throwing events take place outside the oval on the east side of the stadium. Meet management facilities are provided in the renovated storage facility. Oriented for track and field events the stadium has permanent seating for about 1,500 spectators, press box, and canopy cover. Soccer is played inside the oval on the new sand-based drain-through field allowing for soccer matches to be played in all weather conditions. An accompanying 14,800-square foot field house accommodates new coaches’ offices, locker rooms, a team meeting areas and a student-athlete lounge.
