They’ve got spirit, yes they do!
Bryan Adams High School has been serving students since the mid-50s and is a significant part of the educational fabric of Dallas ISD. BRW has been involved in multiple projects on the historic campus and is currently putting the finishing touches on an exciting renovation and addition effort. An important goal for the project is to provide a fresh sense of identity that pays tribute to the school’s history and local heritage. One way we are addressing this is through our interior graphics package. The package includes signage, wall graphics, custom logos, and wall-mounted letters. The graphics throughout the school represent the spirit and tradition of Bryan Adams High School.
Upon entering the reception area, students and visitors are greeted by a large map of Dallas with Bryan Adams at the center, representing the school’s context and significance within the community. Concentric circles radiate from the center to depict the greater East Dallas area.
A colossal representation of the school’s mascot, the cougar, welcomes patrons to the media center. Superimposed upon text, the mascot helps recount the history of the school and the story of its namesake.
The performing arts lobby pays visual tribute to Bryan Adams’ strong tradition of music, theater, and dance. A large mural portrays a collage of participants in band, orchestra, choir, theater, and the school’s beloved dance troupe, the Belles. Overlayed on the lyrics to the alma mater, images of sheet music and sound waves, the multi-layered graphic relays the significance of the arts at Bryan Adams.
The corridor of the Athletics Building features a wrapping graphic depicting notable Bryan Adams athletes. In the gymnasium, a series of large panels display artistic representations of the school’s athletics program.
Through the use of graphics, BRW is helping remind students that from the moment they walk through the doors, they are part of a proud and enduring tradition – not just in the halls of Bryan Adams High School, but in the greater Dallas community. Go Cougars!
