DISD J.L. Long Middle School

When BRW Architects, with a long-standing relationship of work with the Dallas Independent School District, undertook renovation to J. L. Long Middle School, the school was in need of cosmetic and mechanical repairs throughout the historic structure. We performed an extensive survey of the structure to determine the final scope of work. Cosmetic repairs such as new interior and exterior paint, cleaning, and minor repairs were determined. Restrooms were refurbished with new tile, fixtures, and accessories, and the building envelope was enhanced with new exterior doors, window restoration, and roof repairs as required. Updates to mechanical and electrical systems were also assessed.
