Dallas Studio

Project Architect

Location: Dallas Office

7 to 12 year’s previous experience leading community based projects of various scales and budgets

BRW Dallas has an immediate need for a Project Architect with 7 to 12 years of office experience.
For consideration, please submit your cover letter, resume, and work samples. Interviews will be scheduled and conducted in our Dallas studio.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Masters’ in Architecture from an accredited program
  • 7 to 12 year’s previous experience leading community based projects of various scales and budgets
  • Ability to lead and mentor team of AIT’s and Project Coordinators
  • Quality communication and leadership skills
  • Understanding of client deliverables including drawings and specifications
  • Passion for Quality Control
  • Ability to drive projects forward
  • Team player with great people skills
  • Comfortable and confident in managing multiple projects
  • Strong leadership goals
  • Proficient in AutoCAD | Revit Autodesk Architecture
  • Additional skills: SketchUp | Adobe Creative Suite | Outlook | MS Office Suite | Etc.
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, ability to achieve goals and deadlines

Highlighted Daily Task of the Position:

  • Manage a studio team to provide detailed documentation for active projects
  • Control project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design
  • Identify client’s needs and put together feasibility reports and design proposals
  • Develop ideas keeping in mind client’s needs, building’s usage, and environmental impact
  • Produce detailed drawings and make any necessary corrections
  • Compile project specifications
  • Maintain projects within budgets and timelines
  • Ensure that all projects are carried out to BRW standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations
  • Make on-site visits during construction phases to check on project status and report on project
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to younger, developing staff
