Dallas Studio

Project Architect

Location: Dallas Office

Seven (7) to twelve (12) years of office experience.

BRW Dallas has an immediate need for a Project Architect with 7 to 12 years of office experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Masters’ in Architecture from an accredited program
  • 7 to 12 year’s previous experience leading institutional | municipal projects of various scales and budgets
  • Ability to lead and mentor team of AIT’s and Project Coordinators
  • Quality communication and leadership skills
  • Understanding of client deliverables including drawings and specifications
  • Passion for Quality Control
  • Comfortable and confident in managing (1-2) projects
  • Strong leadership skills and goals
  • Proficient in Revit Autodesk Architecture
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, ability to achieve goals and deadlines
  • Additional skills (not required): SketchUp | Adobe Creative Suite

Highlighted Daily Task of the Position:

  • Manage a studio team to provide detailed documentation for active projects
  • Control project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design
  • Identify client’s needs and put together feasibility reports and design proposals
  • Develop ideas keeping in mind client’s needs, building’s usage, and environmental impact
  • Produce detailed drawings and make any necessary corrections
  • Maintain projects within budgets and timelines
  • Ensure that all projects are carried out to BRW standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations
  • Make on-site visits to check on project status and report on project
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to younger, developing staff

Architect-in-Training

Location: Dallas Office

Brown Reynolds Watford Architects, Inc. DBA BRW Architects in Dallas, TX is seeking Architects-in-Training to assist in planning and programming activities associated with architectural project scope.

Job Location: 3535 Travis Street, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75204.

Job responsibilities and duties include:
Prepare graphics presentations and coordinate support of project’s design direction.
Work as a team member with other similarly qualified individuals and under the supervision of a licensed Architect in the development and production of project documents (drawings & specifications) for architectural projects.
Direct activities of Technicians engaged in preparing drawings or specification documents.
Assist Project Architect in development of line item cost estimating.
Conduct product material research in support of architectural project’s design.
Assist Project Architect with coordination of engineering design consultants (civil, structural, mechanical and electrical).
Assist Project Manager during construction phase with documentation and contractor inquiries.
Assist with preparation of written and graphic information for marketing material used in request for proposal competitive solicitations.
Assist project team with preparation of as-built record drawings of projects after completion of construction.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction or any related field of study, plus at least one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s).

Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, knowledge, skill, and experience with the following:

1. AUTOCAD;
2. REVIT AUTODESK Architecture;
3. SKETCHUP;
4. Adobe Creative Suite;
5. Demonstrated ability to prepare various project documentation (files, manuals and/or reports) using MS Office Suite;
6. BIM 360.

No travel; no telecommuting.

Project Manager

Location: San Francisco Office

Fifteen (15) to twenty (20) years of office experience.

BRW San Francisco has an immediate need for a Project Manager with 15 to 20 years of office experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Masters’ in Architecture from an accredited program
  • 15 to 20 year’s previous experience;  leading projects with various scales and budgets;  institutional | municipal projects, a plus, but not a requirement
  • Ability to lead and mentor teams and Project Architects
  • Quality communication and leadership skills
  • Understanding of client deliverables including drawings and specifications
  • Passion for Quality Control
  • Comfortable and confident in managing multiple clients and projects
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Comfort with managing AutoCAD | Revit Autodesk Architecture
  • Additional skills: SketchUp | Adobe Creative Suite | Outlook | MS Office Suite | Etc.
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, ability to achieve goals and deadlines
