Melissa Charles 

Associate

Melissa is a project coordinator at BRW Architects with more than eight years of experience dedicated to K–12 educational architecture. Throughout her career, she has worked on a wide range of school projects, contributing design solutions that prioritize student experience, functionality, and long‑term adaptability.

In addition to her project work, Melissa is an active member of BRW’s BIM Standards Team, where she helps develop and uphold firmwide modeling practices that improve coordination, efficiency, and design quality. Known for her collaborative approach, she enjoys working closely with clients and project teams to translate educational goals into well‑designed, buildable spaces that serve communities for generations.

Outside of work, Melissa lives with her husband, Jack, and their dog, Bonita. They enjoy traveling to visit family or spending time at the beach soaking up good weather. In her downtime, Melissa loves reading a good book and exploring new dishes and cuisines from around the world.
