Dallas College — Mountain View Early College Center

The Dallas College Early College Center stands as a vibrant new addition to the Mountain View campus, designed to bridge the gap between high school and higher education for students from five local high schools. BRW Architects approached this project with a focus on transformation, creating a welcoming environment where students can experience collegiate learning while still in high school. The building’s placement along a protected escarpment and its connection to the natural landscape reflect a commitment to both the campus’s history and the future of its students.

BRW Architects responded to the community’s needs by designing flexible spaces that foster collaboration, curiosity, and confidence. The center features a prominent entry and a large commons area with views of the wooded creekside, offering students a sense of belonging and inspiration. Creative solutions, such as elevated STEM labs overlooking outdoor classrooms, support both academic and social growth, helping students envision new possibilities for their futures.

This project plays a vital role in the community by providing a supportive, forward-thinking environment that encourages students to take the next step in their educational journey. BRW’s design not only meets the practical needs of the program but also creates a lasting impact by empowering students to explore, connect, and succeed.
