KISD Hildebrandt Intermediate School

BRW partnered with Klein ISD to revitalize Hildebrandt Intermediate School, a campus with a 50-year legacy. Maintaining school operations throughout construction required careful coordination and innovative solutions to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

A key achievement was reworking the building’s original structure to introduce two prominent new central stairwells. This improvement enhanced circulation and established a stronger visual connection between floors, fostering a greater sense of unity within the school. Campus safety was also elevated by implementing a comprehensive fire suppression system, bringing the facility up to current standards.

Site enhancements focused on creating a more welcoming and functional environment. The addition of a new entrance canopy provides a clear and inviting point of entry, while a secure, covered route now allows students to move comfortably between the main building and the Fine Arts Wing in all weather conditions.

By phasing construction and utilizing temporary buildings, disruption to daily school activities was minimized. Through these efforts, Hildebrandt Intermediate School has been revitalized—honoring its legacy while preparing it to serve future generations of students.
