Texas A&M University Liberal Arts Building

The Liberal Arts and Humanities Building (LAH), housing both the English and Performance Studies Departments, will serve as the first building designed specifically for instruction and scholarship in the arts and humanities. Performance Studies, with programs in music and theater, is currently located in five (5) separate buildings across the campus.  For the first time, the Performance Studies Department will offer appropriately sized and configured theatre performance studios, music practice and rehearsal rooms, recording studios and music teaching labs and studios in one building.  The English Department also offers teaching programs that will contain offices and both traditional and computer based teaching classrooms.  This building will support innovative instruction and interdisciplinary collaborations among scholars and students of music, theatre, performance, literature and other fields.
