ROBERT LAWYER, AIA

Associate

Robert is an architect and project manager in BRW’s Dallas Civic Studio with 35 years of experience guiding complex, technically demanding projects. His work spans civic, first responder, laboratory, research, healthcare, and higher education facilities, with a particular strength in projects where architecture, building systems, operations, and people all have to work together. A strategic thinker and natural problem-solver, Robert enjoys bringing clarity to complicated challenges through thoughtful programming, collaborative decision-making, and a healthy curiosity about how things work.

Technology has been a consistent thread throughout Robert’s career. His experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM), visualization, and digital project delivery has shaped his approach to design leadership, team coordination, and mentoring. He is particularly interested in using technology not simply to produce drawings faster, but to help teams ask better questions and make better decisions.
