Shelby Bennett is an Associate in BRW’s College Station Civic studio has been involved in a variety of project types from Fire Stations to City Halls and Courthouses. An adept communicator, she excels at facilitating involvement from parties of diverse backgrounds and believes collaborative problem-solving leads to enduring projects, satisfied clients, and resilient Architects. Shelby is a passionate proponent of improving the day-to-day quality of life by improving public buildings in the communities she serves. She is particularly knowledgeable in the ways that fire stations themselves can serve the firefighters by protecting their health and well-being and reducing stress. An English major who changed careers into Architecture, her belief that people of all backgrounds have valuable knowledge to contribute makes her a better listener and an avid learner.

Her transition into Architecture was brought on by a desire to improve the day-to-day quality of life by improving the buildings that people dwell in. She believes that Architecture goes far beyond designing aesthetically pleasing buildings, impacting health, well-being, attitude, comfort, and wellness. She strives to achieve these outcomes in all of her projects.
