Young Jin Yoo 

Associate

Young Jin has over 18 years of experience in the USPS Federal sector, as well as Fire Stations, Retail, and K12 Educational sectors. He came from South Korea in 1999. Despite his unrelated educational background, he discovered his passion for architecture upon encountering Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia in Spain during his European journey. He has awarded in SF AIA Award for Unbuilt Project with his thesis in 2007 and joined BRW Architects in 2013. He has contributed to numerous USPS renovation projects to improve employee work environments. His top 5 Clifton Strengths Themes are Context / Ideation / Empathy / Strategic / Adaptability. Based on the themes, he learns and absorbs the past, connects with the present, envisions the future, and generates solution for his professional design challenges.

Outside of the office, Young Jin and his wife Mindy enjoy traveling to watch their son Jay’s Soccer games. Young Jin has a deep interest in Music and Art. He especially enjoys exploring and listening to a wide range of music through various audio systems and equipment. Sometimes, he plays the piano for Mindy and friends and occasionally composes his own songs.
