Anna Community Library

Anna Community Library

The Anna Community Library marks a new chapter for the City of Anna, transforming the heart of downtown into a vibrant hub for learning, creativity, and connection. BRW partnered with 720 Design to bring the city’s first municipal library to life, responding directly to the community’s desire for a welcoming, flexible space that could serve residents of all ages. The design process centered on listening to local voices and understanding how a library could become more than just a place for books, evolving into a true gathering place.

BRW approached the project with creative solutions that reflect Anna’s unique character. The library’s flexible event venue, arts and crafts rooms, and maker spaces were all designed to adapt to a variety of public functions, supporting everything from workshops to community celebrations. A rooftop patio overlooking the new central plaza extends the library’s reach outdoors, encouraging interaction and making the library a visible anchor for downtown.

By integrating the library with new street improvements and the central plaza, BRW helped complete the city’s master plan for its municipal core. The Anna Community Library now stands as a testament to the power of thoughtful design to foster engagement, spark creativity, and strengthen the bonds of community.
