BRW College Station Office
BRW Architects has been practicing architecture in College Station for over 20 years and continues to serve clients in Central Texas and beyond. After 20 years in the same building, an opportunity to be closer to the heart of Aggieland was created at the new Century Square development on campus property. Our design and interiors team began planning a new home for BRW’s studio and a strategic plan for future growth. The 6,000+ SF interior finish-out provides for flexible and collaborative work environment, a space that allows our staff to practice what we preach. The interior finish palette was consistent with our corporate model, using black, grey tomes, white, and accents of BRW red. The benching systems were from Knoll Antenna series and seating is base on some of Knoll’s classics.
Natural light, complimenting an open and visually clean interior was the driving concept from the beginning. In addition, the warmth of wood tones became a central organizer of the space, from the arrival point to a portal that acts as a gateway between public and private zones of the studio. Floor to ceiling Eucalyptus wood panels are the veneer of the service and functional aspects of the studio, including a secure portal for closing the open lobby off from the active studio. The program included staff work stations, private offices, main conference room, focus rooms, workroom, print room, reception, breakroom, and a presentation/training studio. The lighting package was designed to provide visual interest, adaptability, and energy savings utilizing a digital control system with scene automation, day-light harvesting, and diming options. There are several spaces that promote team sharing, mentoring, and opportunities to display and present project progress as a team.
BRW looks forward to growing in this new space and promoting staff development within this new office environment.
